FCC’s West Gentry Clinic serves as the outpatient clinic for the UT Internal Medicine Residency Program in Tyler, providing outstanding medical care for adults and training the region’s best new physicians. The UT program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) as a 3-year categorical internal medicine training program. What this means to the patient is that you will be treated by an Internal Medicine resident, a licensed doctor who has completed medical school and is receiving specialized training in the acute and chronic medical care of adults. All residents are supervised onsite at our West Gentry Clinic by UT supervising physicians. So, when you receive medical care at the West Gentry Clinic, you will benefit from the care of new doctors working in collaboration with experienced supervising doctors. This thoughtful attention to you and your concerns, state-of-the-art care delivered by doctors staying up to date on the latest health practices as they prepare to become board-certified, and an extra set of eyes has been shown to benefit patients.
